In other cases, patients who have periodontal disease or other dental issues may need to schedule additional visits with our team throughout the year to keep their teeth and gums clean and healthy. How long do routine dental visits take?

A routine dental cleaning and exam typically takes around thirty minutes to one hour on average. If you have questions or concerns you’d like to talk about with our team, or you’re interested in discussing additional treatments, that will likely lengthen your visit. Every appointment is time that is set aside specifically for you, so please don’t hesitate to bring up your smile goals and concerns with our team.

Will professional teeth cleanings whiten my teeth?

Professional teeth cleanings will leave your teeth feeling fresh and squeaky clean, but it’s unlikely that you will notice a difference in the cosmetic appearance of your smile. If you’re interested in whitening your smile, scheduling a teeth whitening treatment post-cleaning is a great idea, as your teeth will be freshly cleaned, and there won’t be any plaque buildup to alter the effects of your treatment.
