Aurora Restorative Dental Treatments
Even when we do our best to take care of our teeth and gums, almost everyone needs to schedule a restorative dental service at some point in their lives. Our team at Dental Solutions of Central Park is very knowledgeable and experienced when it comes to providing gentle and efficient restorative dental treatments that actually treat the root of each problem. If you have any questions about our restorative services, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our front office for clarification.
Contact UsComposite Fillings
Our office uses composite, or tooth-colored dental fillings, to restore a tooth after a decayed area has been removed. Tooth-colored fillings are far more natural-looking than silver fillings, and they are virtually unnoticeable to the untrained eye. Composite fillings also require less of the tooth to be removed before they can be used, which allows more of the healthy, natural tooth to remain.
Dental Crowns & Bridges
Dental crowns are tooth-colored caps that are placed over a tooth to protect and support teeth that have been weakened by tooth decay and dental trauma. Crowns are designed to blend in seamlessly with the surrounding teeth. Dental bridges are three or more dental crowns that are attached together. They can be used to restore several teeth in a row or to replace a missing tooth.
Root Canal Therapy
Root canals become necessary when the pulp inside of a tooth becomes infected. To treat the infection, a small hole must be created so the tooth pulp can be completely removed. After that, the tooth is cleaned and sealed, and a dental crown or another restoration is designed and placed over the tooth to support it and help prevent future infections or damage from occurring.
Dental Implants
Dental implants are an excellent option for replacing missing teeth. Implants are anchored firmly in the jawbone, which makes them stable and similar to natural teeth, and a natural-looking artificial tooth is secured to the top of the implant. Dental implants are very durable restorations, but sometimes they need to be repaired, or the crown needs to be replaced, in which case our office would be happy to help.
Tooth Extractions
Certain treatment plans require one or more teeth to be removed to keep the patients’ smile healthy and functional. Dental extractions can become necessary if a tooth is severely affected by decay or damage, if a tooth is crowding or damaging other teeth, or as part of orthodontic treatment. Our team performs gentle tooth extraction procedures that are designed to be as easy and comfortable as possible.
Full & Partial Dentures
Full dentures are used to replace full arches of teeth. They can be stabilized with a denture adhesive, or they can attach to a few dental implants that are strategically placed throughout the arch. Partial dentures replace a few teeth on one arch, and they are secured with metal clasps that clip onto nearby teeth. Both types are designed to look incredibly natural and function similarly to natural teeth.
